This was my grandfather’s watch and I would like to know what model Accutron I have inherited. I know that four years ago this was humming along just fine but now I’m hoping it only needs a new battery.  My watch maker will not work on Accutrons due to parts availability. Any suggestions for a qualified Accutron specialist in the Dallas/Ft Worth area would be greatly appreciated.

Hi msa, welcome to myBulova. We have a few resources on vintage Accutron but so far  haven't been able to find a match to yours, I'll keep looking. I'm a big fan of heirloom watches and think it's nice you want to repair and continue to use this beauty. Advert shows what looks to be a match for the 1967 Bulova Accutron "302"

 I also found an obscure linebook reference form a 1972 full advert but it shows the "302" as Rolled Gold Plate. Subject watch looks to be 14KT solid gold.

No match found for the solid gold case. Accutron model, variant unknown.

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your father's watch with us, it is a beauty.  Hopefully it will start right up when you get the battery replaced.
