1962 Bulova Accutron M2 :
The case is 10K white gold filled with stainless steel bottom. The crosshair dial is platinum/white color with white gold hands, indices, & Accutron script on it. The Coffin Link bracelet is 10K white gold filled tops with stainless steel bottoms made for Accutron by Kreisler USA with the Accutron tuning fork on the clasp.
I purchased this new in July of 1962 and have kept it in it's original box with the Accutron battery tool, sales receipt, and original battery box. I also saved the magazine ad for it when it came out....that is what prompted me to buy it back then. From time to time I install a new replacement battery for it and let it run for a day....It still keeps perfect time! I had it cleaned & serviced and a new crystal installed about 25 years ago and have never done anything else to it since. I have been wearing a Rolex DateJust daily over the last 30 years but this Accutron is still 1 of my favorite wrist watches and I still believe that the Accutron was way ahead of it's time!

Hello higeye, welcome to myBulova. I love that you still have a watch that you bought in 1962. These Accutrons were a big deal when you bought this one, in fact they still are. The coffin link style bracelet remains a sought after accessory to these Accutrons. Congratulations on this wonderful watch.
I can't see the detail in the advert to confirm if there is a model number listed, at a minimum we would classify this as an Accutron.

Accutron "209" it is.
I wanted to tell everyone "Happy Holidays"!!! Thanks everyone for all the information and nice words about my old Accutron. I enjoy every time I get it out and wear it...even if for only a day now and then. It takes me back in time and brings back so many memories from back then. As I stated before, I still believe this Accutron was way ahead of it's time and still 1 of my favorite looking watches. I love it when I run into someone wearing an old Accutron...It just makes my day and it tells me a whole lot more about the person wearing it!
