The letter prefix of s/n for dating only applies to womens watches from the 1940's. Your watch is dated by the "M6" on the case back as 1966

Minimum wage in 1966 was $1.25 per hour. This watch would have cost exactly one 40 hour work week's pay at minimum wage back then.
