My father bought this for my mother in 1965. She was the only owner. As far as I know she never had any work done on this watch. It is 14 K gold. I want to pass it on to my granddaughter one day. I have no idea the model name.
1964 Bulova La Petite AE.
If you go to the information tab and select 1964 it will bring up the advert for your watch.
Very nice little watch. It is always great to know the history of a watch and even greater that you will be able to pass it on to your grand daughter and with it the history.

Hi Leesa - Welcome. When a member adds a watch to the database we discuss the ID before it gets 'published'. Right now the name at the top of this record is "Unknown". Once we've all agreed that we have the right name, the site administrator will switch the record to that name. I would suggest having the watch serviced id you intend to use it regularly. It's great that you have this wonderful keepsake from your mother, I hope your granddaughter treasures it as well.
Regarding the ID - John - I agree that it's a La Petite model ( 23J and 14 K solid gold) but I can't ses the detail on that ad well enough to agree on the AE variant.
I looked at the 1964 adverts and it is on image number 19 of 36, if it is indeed the La Petite AE. How could I know for sure if it is the AE or not? I will be happy to try to make sure for you.
I appreciate everyone's kind words. I will have it serviced before I give it to Destani on her 18th birthday. I also want to have it appraised but I want to find a reputiable dealer here in Arkansas first. I want her to know it isn't just another watch!!!!! Thanks again everyone. Glad I found you. Blessings, Leesa

I think this is the link: http://www.mybulova.com/vintage-bulova-watch-ads?title=196 If not, please let me know.
Oops. It just takes you to the 1960's. It is on the 2nd page, then look for the first RED advertisement. There is a mans black strap watch in the very center of the ad.
Hope this helps.
