SELF WINDING, STAINLESS STEEL CASE, SCREW BACK
I found this Ad and was thinking is it possible that this watch is a Yankee clipper. Though the dials are different the case looks similar. The movement is M3(1963) the Ad is 1962. could they (Bulova) have put the (or some watchmaker) 1963 movement in a 1962 case?. I mean the ad reads "water proof" like my watch. Auto wind like my watch. offered in charcoal grey, my watch isn't white it's kinda greyish in color and the lugs look close. I don't , I would like to a ruling on this. I already deleted one watch the was a frankenbully. I would like to get some input or I delete it though all the stuff is there that says it's a bulova. but which one is it.
It is not a Yankee Clipper E as you have depicted in your first comparison to your watch above. Your case just doesn't match, especially the lugs.

I'm having hard time trying to ID this watch
RAIJIN, It's not a frankenbully, that's for sure! It's a true Bulova, so add the movement to the movement database with the start year as 63' no end year.
The ID will come eventually, just be patient. I've got hundreds that don't have a name yet, but they have a home :-)
thank you very much
If I had to guess, which I'll do I would say this is a 'SEA CLIPPER'
my question then should I update it to a "sea Clipper"
I would, better a tentative ID than 'UNKNOWN' IMO
Do you believe in guesses?
Wayne, Sometimes. The Caseback, Movement and Hands say 'CLIPPER', the corrosion resistant Bezel says 'SEA CLIPPER'. IMO
