Finished cleaning and oiling, movement running well. Original dial will be refinished. New crystal once dial is back from refinisher. L9 date code on case and movement (1959). Looks to be a Surf King CW in stainless steel.
Hi PJ,welcome to myBulova. It would be much easier to help you ID your watch if you would post a photo of it completely assembled. Full on front shots work best. Thanks.

Hi Geoff
Sorry about that. Was working on it when snapped the photos and submitted. I will take a better photo once I have the new crystal in, new strap and perhaps refinished dial.
Surf King cw.

Yep Surf King "CW"
Can we please have a photo added of the entire watch assembled.
Thanks!
Well done PJ, thanks for the photo update. I'd say it is a Surf King CW too. Will you have the dial refinished?

I originally intended to refinish the dial. However, this is the first watch I've completely overhauled myself and it is kinda sentimental and a testament to my watch repair learning to leave the dial original with a fully serviced movement behind it along with a new crystal and band.
I've got my 1929 Bulova unknown dial out for refinishing and look forward to seeing it come back. I will post a picture when reassembled. I've never used this dial refinisher so want to see how well the 1929 comes out before sending others.
