Watch Description

Bulova Timer / Sportstimer / Stopwatch 

Not sure of the year this was made. The movement shows a '57' stamp, but that may or may not have any relevance to the mfr year. Appears to be a stainless case, has a fair amount of weight, but no stamp or markings to show case material. Movement is a 21 jewel Swiss 19AE. Back of case is stamped 1351.

1960 ad shows this as the Bulova Timer; same post shows a 1969 ad where the lanyard ring is located at the bottom vs. the top in 1960.

I was also leaning towards the Bulova Timer. Any ideas on dating this? Looks like 1957 may not be correct.

Wondering if it's just "Timer" vs Bulova Timer.

How many times do we see text in ads for "Bulova Lone Eagle" or "Bulova Strap Watch", "Bulova _______"

Technically, it is a Rattrapante Chronograph/Stopwatch. The Valjoux 57 was also used by Heuer in their timers and is top drawer for production stopwatches. 

I'm thinking Bulova probably just called it the Bulova Timer.

Yeah, good question Rev, since 1957 doesn't seem likely. We could take the serial number starting with a "2" and overlay the photo Bob brought from 1962 and make a wild assumption....
