Not sure if this may be a Bulova 23 or a Beau Brummel, or "other". 4 diamonds on dial at 3, 6, 9 and 12. Original Spiedel gold band. Date code on case and movement is "L7". Case marked 14Kt gold fill. Keeps perfect time UNTIL I wear it, and then it will occasionally get "stuck"...I am guessing that having my arm at certain angles must affect something in the movement. Having a local watch maker/repairer look it over. No info on the history. Purchased last weekend at vintage jewelry store in Savannah, GA. Glare in first pic where face reads "Self-Winding".
Beau Brummel.
There is an ad that matches somewhere...
Well, I found this ad someone posted a while back......

Not sure if he lugs match. There were a couple late 50's diamond dial watches sold under the "23" designation. My first thought was still Beau Brummell though.

I think there was more than one Bulova 23 w/ diamond dial. Don't remember if we had ads for them, but I think they are in the price lists.
Here is a snippet from the Mens Diamond Dial section of the 1958 Fall price list, showing two variants w/ diamond dial.
I'm checking for more entries in other price lists, but there are some possibilities.
Also thinking Beau Brummell, but can't rule out a possible 23 variant, still looking for an ad
Agree with Bulowa 23 "ZW"
Jabs "ZW" is white in price list, subject watch is yellow gold. The B&W ad doesnt' state gold color.
So Will, would it be the YW then?
In reply to So Will, would it be the YW by Geoff Baker
If subject watch were a match to the ZW ad, I'd think it would be YW.
yeah true, but "YW" sitting for this watch
The lugs do not match, they are of the "cat-ear" type, with a slight arching and a hollow point in the arch.
The diamond mounts do not match, each stone is set within a hexagonal white gold engraved mounting, the subject watch stones are set in round settings.
I believe the one in this 1957 ad to be the correct one, although both the artist's image of the lugs and the posted photos make it hard to be sure. Very close nonetheless.

Edit- here is an ad for the "YW" Bulova "23", same style, different colour in price list.
