17 jewel self-winding caliber 8 BBA in a 10kt gold filled case. Marked L7
Does anyone know the model? I rarely see this a watch with this movement in it.
10kt gold filled
First time I have ever seen this movement. Nice find and Great watch.
Agreed, generic Ambassador, but very well could be the 'G' variant. We don't see too many square auto's.
Not the "G", case lines and lugs are different. I'm not convinced Ambassador either. Unkown for now.

Hmmm, looking at this again, you are correct Shawn, the case certainly looks to differ from the subject watch. Back to the drawing board.
I agree. Does not case the case lines of a Ambassador based on the above pics of Ambassador.
A 17 Jewel automatic with subsiduary Dial in 1957 would be nothing but an 'AMBASSADOR'.
With named variants to at least "J" there's a minimum 10 variations of this line, possibly more. Only 3 are depicted in the ad.
The 8 BBA Movement has been identified as being used in the 'AMBASSADOR'. (see linked Watch in prior post)
'AMBASSADOR'
I have a similar watch, same movt, I will add it now.
