Cannot open case, may be front loader? Not sure what patent pending, unishell case design or shock resistant?
Hello peatnick, welcome to myBulova. I'd say your watch is a Phantom model. Looks to be in very nice condition. I like the grooved dial.

The caseback, which contains the movement, dial, crystal, crown, connects to the bezel by being pressed together.
Thanks for your quick replies Geoff and Anders! Textured dial and blued seconds hand are what atracted me to this. Now that I kow the bezel comes off first I'll try to get a movement shot!

Thanks again everybody, got the case open but not sure how to remove stem so can't get movement pic. In another thread here a similar 1954 Phantom A had a movement pic. That member's Phantom A has 10BUC movement, is it likely mine has the same?
