Watch Description

Looks like a President 'D', quite clean, runs ok but needed a crystal , now fitted.  Speidel bracelet with a personal engraving on the clasp.

There are some differences with the dial and hands between your watch and the 'D' variant - which had full numerals and different hands. Your watch setup is closer to the 'C' variant, but that was not a black dial. Also, the outer track white outline appears to be different from most examples.

I'm not really sure which variant to call this one.

I think you're right Ken. Perhaps 1953 Bulova President, having noted the differences.

It looks to me like the dial does not fit properly in the case opening.  That being said I a good with an id as a 1953 Bulova President no variant.

The dial is a snug fit but just  spotted that my entry  seems to have acquired the bracelet shown on plainsmen's 2022 entry for the C version as the band and engraving  is  identical.

Very nice, love the black dial.

So Ken was right, this looks like a C that was refinished black?

Dial and hands are an exact match for the Ambassador "D"
