Watch Description
It appears this case style began circa 1950, sporting a pie pan dial,17 jewels, with small seconds at 6 position. Called Ashford around 1950 to 1953? ; at which point it became Adams on leather and Jordan on expansion band. This subject watch appears to be the next step in the evolution.
This one; dated 1953, has a flat dial and sweep center second hand, 21 jewels, watertite and the nubs extending from the lug knots are shortened. It would appear this model configuration as Farragut was only around for 1953, and was again renamed as Neptune in 1954. Supporting ad is from 1953.
It's a front loader I am unable to open. It's in excellent running condition.

1953 Bulova Farragut is a good match. The crystal bezel ring pops off an gives you access to the movement.
