Case back markings - Bulova L3, Water Tite, Anti Magnetic, SS, 5918395. I have not attempted to open the watch due to not knowing the correct process to do so. is it a snap back? The watch is working & keeping time. A "shake" does get the watch going and it also winds "duo wind"? I did see a few similar adverts, but not an exact match. I purchased this from a gentleman who noted it was his fathers.
I am interested in selling the watch, however without the proper details I would be winging it on a description. - Thank You
apologize for the sideways pics.
very similar. Thank You...The bracelet on mine is a bit different with the links being straight not the slight curve seen here. Any idea if case is snap back?
Your band is most likely a replacement that looks to be from the 1960's.. Bands on vintage watches are like tires on cars. They are the first thing to wear out. Case back question is one I can't answer. I'm sure one of the other panel members can help you with that.

very cool Thank You.
Farragut seems correct, though the jewel count of the movement is unknown.
This case looks to be a top-loader (the back does not open). There appears to be a bezel ring that once removed would allow access to remove the crystal and the crown is likely a two-piece type that separates inside the tube. Then the movement can come out of the case.
This is a manual-wind only watch. Shaking it may allow for some short duration of running, but there is not a duo or self winding option on this one.
1953 Bulova Farragut
1953 Bulova Farragut is a good match and in great condition.
