On a Ladies piece a Black dial is not common.
Also a Debutante, but advert is dated 1957.Advert indicates charcoal dial.

It may not be 100% accurate, but we have adverts here on myBulova.com for the Dolly Madison ranging from 1935 to 1962. A google magazine search also shows adverts from 1931 to 1963.
