This is a 10KT yellow RGP plate case with a 3, 6, 9, 12 and square hour marker silver dial. Caseback is stainless with an L3 date code. The movement is a 10BT 17J so with a L3 date code. Matches the linebook for the Ambassador "F" but my dial does not have quadrants. 1953 Bulova Ambassador "F" although it could be another variant number for the plain dial but I have not found an ad match.
Ambassador "F" works. Any indication that the dial has been refinished?

It does not have Swiss Made on the dial so that is a possibility, there is no notch.
Can't be the "F" variant if the Dial does not match.
Other than the X shadow dial, the hands are also different, so wonder if it's another model or a few parts have been replaced/restored.
Jim are the square dots printed?
Ambassador seems to be a good call. Without an ad match for the dial, variant is a toss up. Is it an "F" with a refinished dial and replaced hands, or something else?
1953 Bulova Ambassador w/ no variant (for now)
