this is my father's 1952 bulova. 'director', i think. it runs perfectly and i wear it almost daily. i have it serviced yearly, but it is all original (save the band), never restored. i'm interested in having it restored... the crystal is about what you might expect from a 60 year old watch. i don't think he wore it much past my early childhood... i don't remember it and haven't seen it in photos beyond about '65... i'd also like to find the original band, or a replica. i understand from my mother that my dad bought it for himself as a gift from her at the px at the key west naval station....

Director for sure and it is the one Mark calls the ugly one. I have one myself and I think it is just a beauty. The add bonus of knowing the history is something we only dream of with most of our watches.

This is technically a "Director-A." The "Director" model was a completely different bezel from the Director-A. model.
