1950 Bulova Stanton (possibly)

17 jewel 10BM movement

A9 date code

original bracelet in EXCELLENT condition. If you were to see it after I cleaned it and told you it was NOS, you’d believe it.

I believe this to be the Stanton. It looks just like the Standish but the Standish has engraving on the sides.

There is a good explanation of the difference between the Shoreham, Standish, and Stanton in the discussion of the other 1950 Stanton in the DB.

That's interesting, obviously We must see an engraved bezel in the line book image.

Same model?  The crystal fits 3.

The Westfield watch from the linebook is clearly engraved and that’s not mentioned in it’s description either. Unless we invalidate the linebook entry for not having a complete description, we have to accept that there will be aspects visible in the picture that’s not mentioned or implied in the description. The linebook shows the Stanton to be engraved on the sides and the subject watch has no engraving.

The crystal for this watch fits 3 models, therefore by a process of elimination the subject watch should be identifiable.
