original bracelet in EXCELLENT condition. If you were to see it after I cleaned it and told you it was NOS, you’d believe it.

I believe this to be the Stanton. It looks just like the Standish but the Standish has engraving on the sides.

There is a good explanation of the difference between the Shoreham, Standish, and Stanton in the discussion of the other 1950 Stanton in the DB.

So base on this and confirmation of a linebook entry Ken added previously, do we agree that the following applies:

  • Full bezel & lug engraving = Shoreham
  • Side bezel engraving = Stanton
  • Plain bezel = Standish

If so I'll go ahead and update the neccessary watches.

Yes I agree with that.

We didn't have the books when I did my original assessment.  I agree with the current line of reasoning.

That was the first of any of the 3 models to be added to the registry. Your assessment was very reasonable with the information available. That was 2010. The first Shoreham wasn't added until 2013 and the first non engraved model wasn't added until 2011.

Thanks all. I'll go ahead and ID this watch accordingly and update the others we have in the database. This is what a living website look likes.

Fifth, you read my other post the wrong way around. I was pointing out the subject watch can't be a Standish as it's not a match to the above linebook entry for the Standish model.

Mybad, it's a Monday.

What I meant to post is the subject more closely resembles the 'STANTON'
