Just got this one and it was way better than expected. Movement and case both "L0", and Flex-Let band is marked 1-52, for what that is worth. Watch was purchased with odd dark blue/black spots on case that looked like heat discoloration. They cleaned off quickly with NEVR-DULL, and case is literally spotless and shines like a mirror. The sides of the flip open bezel and center of case back are a subtle satin finish and the rest is high gloss. Crystal and face are what I would call perfect as well. Watch overall is a 9.9+ out of 10 and could pass as never worn/new. I suspect the band was a point of original purchase substitution for the factory leather, as it is apparently dated 1952 and is perfect, just like the watch.

Thanks, Stephen, this one was a "shot in the dark", as pictured condition appeared to show real issues with the case. I watched it for 2 weeks at what I felt was an inflated price considering the way it looked. Seller sent out a blanket offer to "watchers" at 1/2 original price and I Shot them an offer of 1/3 original asking price (based on photos) questioning about the apparent issues and the description of "it ticks". They accepted without elaborating. I bought it figuring it was going to be parts to restore another with a bad movement and face.
Even when it was in my hand, I was skeptical. One hinge and all hinged movement section lower case corners were black, like the case had been heated at those points with a soldering iron. Even under magnification, it looked like the plating was bubbled from heat. It was really strange. I rubbed it with cotton batting metal polish for about 2 minutes, and all of it came off, with no visible damage to plating. No idea what it was. It was a real "Aha" moment. Put it on and after 24 hrs it's keeping perfect time.
I don't believe I've ever seen one that retained the satin finish on the sides and always assumed these were polished overall. When compared to my well worn example, it's apparent that one started out like this one but is worn to gloss polish from the original finish.
