I'm basing my model ID on the trype of band currently adorning this watch. From what I can se both the 1949 Ambassador and Brigadier use the same case, dial, hands and possibly movement. The only variation in the adverts is the band. The Ambassador was advertised with a mesh band, were-as the Brigadier had an expansion band.
This advert dated from June 3 1949.
