Watch Description

Bulova 6BKC 17 jewel Swiss movement, yellow 10K rolled gold plate, stainless steel back, combination numerals and markers, with seconds track on a white/silver dial. Movement date code is 49, and case back s/n: I894255. Based on a previously identified watch, this suggests to me it is a 1949 6BKC movement in a 1948 case.   Found in very good condition without bracelet. Fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, assembled, and regulated.  I am waiting on a new mainspring, but preliminary Timegrapher values are: Lift angle 52°, -5 to +16 s/d, 242° amp, 4.7ms/be.

Research on this site leads me to believe this is a 1949 “Medical Center” ladies watch.  I’m not yet sure what type of band to put it on. Can the panel offer any suggestions?

A very nice Medical Center.  Love these little nurse watches.  I am going with 1948 by the case date I = 1948.  They also added roman numerals in the case to match the serial number on the caseback, at least the 255 that I can make out.

I agree with neetstuf-4-u that a black cord band would be as it was originally and what I would go with.  They are easy to find new and NOS.
