1948 Bulova His Excellency 'SS'
Case is 10k Gold Filled dated to 48, etched roman numerals inside case of VI VI I match last three of s/n; dial has gilt markers and looks to have had a re-dial at some point (notch at 3, and Bulova print looks a bit fat); 21-jewel 7AK movement is dated 47; Kreisler band looks period, but not sure if it is original.

Iconic Bulova, 1948 Bulova His Excellency "SS". This is a beautiful example. These Kreisler bracelets really make a fine paring with these His Excellencies. I wouldn't have noticed the font size if you hadn't mentioned it but it is a bit chubby.
