Watch Description

8AE movement dated 1948. 10K gold filled case by Bulova. History unknown. I was on a 1940's watch kick and looking through eBay when it caught my eye. Looking through the advertisements, it seems to be a Douglas.  It's a very nice little watch and runs great, but I don't think it's going to stay in my collection long with the other couple 40's Bulovas I have.

I think you are correct.

1948 Douglas looks to be a match.

By the looks of things, this watch didn't see a great deal of wrist time. Some wear but not a lot.

I think I saw a matching weave band on eBay the other day that might look good on this.
