This one is what I believe to be a 1946 Treasurer. It has a 10AK movement with a square date code. The case is yellow gold plate and the dial is white/cream with the odd dot hour marker dial. Came with a period stretch bracelet and after a cleaning and polishing is looking great. Well I thought I had all of the 1946 Treasurer models then found this yellow gold model with the Odd Dot hour markers. This makes 4 1946 variants. Here is the whole family. I will have to take a picture with all 5 together. So it would seem that based on prior attributions the following variants for the 1946 Treasurer.

[/quote] Makes me think this might be a transitional period watch. Early 1947 using a 46 movement. Note my original message says AX movement but that was a mistake on my part. This is an AK movement.
After careful consideration of available ads; based on face and case date I have to go with
early 1947 His Excellency
It appears the referenced ad and subject watch are right on the knife's edge of the name change. Ad identifies watch as "Excellency", but then in the text calls it "The Treasurer", it's former recognized name.
I think it's a very cool addition to your Treasurer lineup showing the point of when a Treasurer was no longer a Treasurer. A 1946 movement in a 1947 case (identical to 1946) with the new 1947 face.

1947 was certainly the cut over period and I've not noticed the dual name in the advert above.
In saying this however I feel like it should still be called the Treasurer as the 'Excellency' was at that time a series of 21 jewelled watches and not neccessarily a specific model as they later became.
1947 Bulova Treasurer
This particular dial is more commonly seen in the His Exc A / Princeton models, but also in a couple of Treasurer ads. Some time back, if I recall, we decided to call all '47 models His Excellency despite the overlap. I'm okay with either Treasurer or His Exc, but would prefer the latter.
