Oh Boy Howdy!
Geoff, I believe this watch is actually 1946 , not 1936.
Its very close to the Arnold and Norman but has different lugs. I've search through all the ads and cannot find a match, but I am convinced its from 1946.
I think you're right. Updated.
Engraved Lexington?

Anyone come across this model yet. Had two in the past and one of those that annoys me as I'm sure i've seen an advert but cant find it now! Same case as the duncan but this is obviously engraved. Could the duncan have had an A & B version maybe?
No sooner said i think i found the ad, could do with a clearer one but I think this is it. "Commando"

Good ad match buddy!
Thanks for bringing the 1948 Duncans to my attention Gary. They are misnamed, and are in fact
Lexingtons.
Wonder where the Duncan name originated? I was sure there had to be an advert due to the amount of Duncans on here, but on checking couldn't find any, luckily found the Commando. it will be interesting to see if this commando model had a name change at some point. I have one from 1948 and seen one from 1950, the subject watch here is 1946, be odd for Bulova not to change the name of a model in 4 years.......if the 1950 was indeed 1950 and the person had it right
Very, Very nice Geoff
