A Pink GF case, with case back marked 'Bulova Quality' but the serial number scratched away and unreadable. No interior marks to identify the casemaker, just a service mark. 17j 7AN in good condition, I will update this and others as the restoration is completed. It's not clear in the pics, but the dial is copper coloured and works well with the pink gold case. It was re-lumed at some point, and not very well. Crown appears original as it is exactly like the case.
7AN would be more in line with 1935. The only reason a serial # gets removed is cause the thief who stole it, can't sell it if it's identity is visible. Sure would be a good story to have this watches bio.
It looks to me like a '46 Spencer dial, but the case is wrong. I think there may be a good chance this is a marriage.

K, I think I got it. It looks like a 1945 Spencer in an early 40's Lincoln case.
Here is a '41 Lincoln case for comparison, one of Mark's.
So it's a Lincser or a Spencoln. Non Conforming, I'm afraid.
I should add, what's interesting about this is obviously the dial feet positions for the 8AH (Spencer, Senator) are the same as the 7AN, 7AP, 7AK, 7AH. Not particularly useful information, but interesting. It could mean you might find a Spencer dial on a 7AN, like we have here. Unless there is another copper dialed model with the tilted numbers out there that uses the 7AN family.
Everything points to being correct for the watch, except maybe the hands (you'd expect to see lumed hands to match the dial). I'd say we have another variant or an unknown model.
I agree admin, a 'SPENCER' Dial would not fit the confines of the 'LINCOLN' Case and it's about time We stopped looking at the Dial for Model ID's as We see various Dials across the board.

The Case being what I believe Bulova referred to as Coral (Copper) as it isn't quite Yellow and not quite Red Gold, somewhere mid point. The Dial is Rose or Red.

The hands look correct for a Spencer or Senator. The lume, not being original, may have been applied over a non-lume dial. I picked some of it away and there is a whitish paint underneath, so may not have originally been lumed at all.
Interesting. My pics don't show it, but the case is quite pink, and matches the copper dial well. I'll try and get a better shot.
