Here is a Bulova Ordnance Department watch dating 1944. The OF on the serial number dictates that it is a 15 to 17 jewel wrist watch (waterproof case) this case back matches the description of the case and movement. Often you see the wrong caseback serial code to movement but this one is fine. There is slight discolouration neat 1 & 2 on the dial bur everything else is crisp. The hands have been relumed . The case is in mint condition with gasket and anti magnetic cover. I can't say if case has been replated but is mint. I change the nato style strap for a mint 1940s pig skin quick release band made by Streamline.
Nice one Ray, if my memory serves me, we tag these as "Military Issued 10AK"
Hi Geoff, in my military book some had the early snap back case which I think code was OD for 15-17 jewel. It's a great example just pity name missing on dial.
