Firth..I think you forgot to list this one as 'For Sale'!! :-)
What would have this watch been used for?
admin.
Its Official name was 'Type A-15 Elapsed Time Watch'

Pilot Navigation.
The Watch belongs to a member of MWR but I felt it worthy of the database.
You must have got a hold of Ken. He could pull documents out of the air I think.

Do your own this watch? Or just adding to the data base? Classic watch!

Thanks Sandman...and subject watch is in a Bulova case! Beautiful.
Recognise the scratched roman numerals on the inside of the case back?
XXXX III = 1943.

Aha... so perhaps a 1943 case with a 1944 movement? That fits with everything in the thread too.
Good job seeing those Roman numerals.
Bulova released this nice hommage to this classic military watch:

Limited Edition of 500 pieces at $1500 each.
Holy Elapsed Time Batman, what a watch..Thanks for adding it to the DB Mark. Another piece of Bulova history.
