Welcome to myBulova and on starting your collection with this nice piece! Your watch will stay at Unknown while the panel members review it. It will then be assigned an ID. This can take a couple of days to much longer depending on the watch. I agree with Air Warden. Here is an ad for the white dial from 1943. A lot of 1943 watches are gold filled over sterling, is this one?

Yes ma’am it’s sterling with gold. These Pictures are from when it arrived,so I got they case looked almost blued like a gun barrel. I took some cleaning wipes to the case and bam the gold came shining through. I’m into WW1 and WW2 military issued watches. I have a 1944 Black Dialed US Ord Dept Issue being serviced that should be here at its new home soon.

Very nice!! I think the gold over sterling watches from this era are really neat. Just in case you aren't aware, take extra care in handling dials with the radium lume like this one. The radium is still highly radioactive if disturbed and breathed in. I only mention it because I didn't know when I first started collecting.
I'm going to disagree here. This is NOT an Air Warden, but it might be an Apollo or a Nighthawk (More likely since the Nighthawk has the luminecent numbers) . The sub dial on an Air Warden sits lower, the bottom of the sub dial circle is part of the main dial. Also, on the Air Warden the word "Swiss" sits at the very bottom of the dial in the 6 oclock postion.
On the Apollo, the sub dial sits above the circle for the main dial, and there is no "Swiss" on the dial at all.
I have both an Air Warden, and an Apollo sitting here in front of me and while they are very similar, they are not the same. Also, my '43 Air Warden lacks the lumenecent numbers on the dial, but the hands are (were, till I broke the crystal.) The Apollo on the other hand has no lumenecent numbers or hands, and is a different font from the Air Warden. Neither my Apollo or my Air Warden match this dial exactly, but the sub dial placement and the minute marks on the Apollo match. I'm thinking this is a variant of an Apollo rather than an Air Warden.
