Watch Description

1941 identified by star * date mark, 10k rolled gold plate bezel, stainless back. Movement Bulova 10AX, 15 jewels, U.S.A. The case serial number is 1405485. Engraving on bezel extends from tip of lug to about 4:30 mark on dial the right side; this is repeated on all lugs at the comparable points.  The case is tonneau  shaped, gently curved from lugs to center of domed crystal; however, the case back is dead flat. The hands are vintage syringe style with lollipop small seconds. I have no idea as to the history of the watch, other than a cleaning and a new white alloy mainspring 9/2025.

Looking through Bulova ads from this website, and anywhere else I could find them, I found similarities in the 1941 Bruce, 1942 Arnold, 1942 Alexander, and the Dean from various years. My strongest contender is the 1941 Bruce.

Thank you for the information. I am going to be on the lookout for late 1941, early 1942 Bulova ads. That was a dramatic time in America, and very interesting as industry went to war production.
