A bucket list model for me and many thanks to Bob for helping me find one. The Perisphere is modeled after the New York World's Fair. The name signified the "World of Tomorrow" and inside it was shown a model of "Democracity" the "City of Tomorrow".
A unique and interesting watch. It is very small and I will attach a pic in the comments showing the size on the wrist.
That is really nice Kathy. Looks like it has a pie pan shaped dial that would require a special center wheel staff and cannon pinion.

There's a video of the 1939-40 World's Fair Democracity recreation here:

Thank you Alex :-)
Congrats Kathy, I've been watching this model on eBay whenever one pops up and have often thought of buying one as well.
It is certainly one of the more historic/collectable ladies watches to have.
I actually have the original contract (not a copy, but the original) between Bulova and the World Fair organisation for the placement of Bulova clocks throughout the park for the 1939 Work Fair.

Thank you Stephen! I've been looking since the ad was found, think Jim found the first one. Well that is a cool document to have.
I love these little nuggets, they are so MODERN for the time! 1939 Bulova Perisphere
