1939 Ambassador "D". Running and keeping time, as received. Identical to the Lone Eagle "F" but larger with no  ring grooves on the lugs.

Ad is dated  1939 and clearly shows the engraving on sides of crystal.

oh what a shame...I hear batteries for these are really really expensive because they are as rare as hens teeth :-)

I got lucky. Apparently the teeny little generator still puts out current; as I spun the hand crank thing on the side one time and it started running...........  ;oP
