1938 Minute Man D ?? The movement, which may be useless has an arrow and a crest moon stamped in it I think this one was found at the bottom of a pond !! I'll sent it to Kurt anyway to see if it's worth salvaging.
Yes Minute Man "D" is good ID

I've done what I could to the outside. Its up to Kurt to work a miracle on the inside. LOL

This Minute Man went for a swim...ouch!
May be cheaper and easier buying a 38 replacement movement off eBay.
Best of luck.

1938 Minute Man "D" is a good ad match. I have a sneaking suspicion that to be economically feasible, this one will need a transplant.
Note that I'm not a watch doctor, but do play one on TV.

I'm not a watch doctor either and lay no claim to being one, but y'all may be right, this movement may not be able to be fixed even though the balance whell? moves quite freely back and forth. I think it is just trying to unwind a ball of rust.

My doctor comment was a tongue in cheek play on an old TV commercial, don't even remember what it was for. The narrator/actor was dressed in a lab coat with stethoscope and said "I'm not a doctor, but I do play one on TV". Old guy humor :o)
