Adverts from 1937 indicate this is a Minuteman curvex model. I think this may also be original metal band as adverts show identical type of metal bracelet.

w/ three stars. Looks real close. Case SN in above link higher than subject watch case SN w/i reason? - both begin w/ 8 - mvnt in link is 1938, mvnt in subject watch is 1937.
