This is an interesting one.

'37 ad - 'GOLDCRAFT' and We've seen this Dial variant in many 1934 - '37 models.

Do We have an ad or any confirmation naming this mid 1930's style as the 'COMMANDER' Boys and Girls??

Although this watch may be a better match for the very similar Hancock.

I'd say, what Year is the 'HANCOCK' ad?

According to Scott, who posted the Hancock ad in the thread cited above, it is from "1935 (Dec. 14th, 1935, SEP ad snippet".

There are two other watches identified as Hancocks in the database.

Hi there, it seems to me that the Hancock is a ladies watch, judging by the band, and this is most definitely a mans watch because it is around 38mm x 20mm. I looked carefully at the other Commander watches listed in the Bulova Watches section and it is a great match for the others. But I could not find any ads that exactly matched this watch, especially with the powdery gold dial.

There is a commander in one of the 1936 ads that looks very much like this one, but I don't know how to copy and paste the ads into this thread.

Warhawk - That's a man's band, not a ladies'.  The style was very typical of the 1930s.  The Hancock is a man's watch.
