10K gold plate, Possibly a Hancock?
Hi WM, I'm stumped. I cannot find a match in either the 1930's or 40's
1934 Bulova Unknown
Hi Geoff Baker,
You do not think it is a Hancock with an imporperly refinished dial?
I didn't think the case matched Hancock but I do see the similarities. The dial is completely different that anything we have in the adverts. I might be tentative ID as Hancock.

Thank you, Geoff Baker. I do think the dial is a bad refinish.
Hi WM, neat watch. We do have one ; also a 1934 in the database that appears to be a match to your watch. It seems that one, like yours can't be substantiated by a period ad showing a numbered face, and was never really discussed prior to naming. I agree the dial appears to have been re-done based on the seconds subdial and minutes tracks when compared to the one linked below. Case and movement match the ads.

Is your watch yellow or white gold plate?
If it's white, it may be that the white version (which we haven't seen before) had a numbered face and wasn't advertized by illustration in ads. If yellow, it may be a dial replacement from a white Hancock or another unknown Bulova. The ads we have for Hancock seem to always list the yellow version first, so that's the watch pictured with the option of white available. This is pure speculation on my part.
I am open to naming it
1934 Hancock - noting dial difference that may or may not be a replacement.

Thank you, Neetstuf-4-u,
My watch is white gold plate.

Agreed that the closest match for the case is a Hancock and the dial certainly does look like it's had a clean or something.
Tentative 1934 Bulova Hancock.
