I'm going to say this is a 1936 Ambassador. Movement dated 1934, case s/n starts with a 6. Watch looks like it was seldom if ever worn. Engraving is crisp, no signs of plating wear or even scratches from normal use. Band appears to be the original and is in the same spotless condition. Face shows one rub in the "5" corner, otherwise about perfect. Crystal is glass and has a couple very light small scratches under magnification.
The tops of the steps closest to the sides of the crysal retain their original satin finish, while the rest of the case is high polish.
Movement is super clean with the exception of one rust area around one screw. It's almost appears that someone lost a drop of sweat when assembling the watch and it laid in the cup on top of the gear for a while with the watch laying face down. Watch doesn't show any signs it was ever apart or serviced. Curious to say the least.
Interior of hinged case inscribed "Bulova Fifth Avenue New York" No jeweler's marks. Currently keeping perfect time.
I opened the package this came in and thought "wow, where have you been hiding?". It is literally the finest unrestored original Bulova from the 1930's that wasn't verified NOS that I have ever encountered.
