I want to get your opinion on this one. It's an Ambassador case, but is the movment original? It has the 1936 date code, but it's a 17 jewel. Only other example of the 36 Ambassador I see on here is George's and his has a 10AN 15 jewel movment.
I think I just found the answer to my question.

Thanks so much Jabs. That cleared up the muddy water some. But it mentioned the 17 jewel in the gold filled case. Apparently they came in 15 & 17 jewel and in rgp and gold filled cases. And they came in yellow and white. Plus it looks like they came with at least 2 dial variants. And one ad listed it as a "Goldcraft" with the 17 jewel movement. That information makes it so much easier to determine if the one I have is original or not.
Looks like the Ambassador came in three varieties, yellow white and two-tone.
As did the Lone Eagle and President of the time.
Nice watch dude!

Ambassador from me.
We do have an ad in the 'full' dB dated 1936 showing the Ambassador in this dial, RGP and 17 jewel. It's interesting that Bulova offered this model in RGP AND GF.
