Hi all I would like some assistance in identifying this 1935 ladies watch. The movement is a 15 jewel 4AF with the triangle mark and serial number 7842 or it could be 7642 . The case is marked Bulova with a shield symbol after the name and is 10k rolled gold plate and has the serial number 196688. There are no markings on the inside of the case apart from jewelers servicing marks. The front of the case has engraving down each side of the crystal , and also down the edges of the case. The band looks to be original. the watch as a whole is in pretty good order apart from not working. Unfortuatly the watch is not working, the balance is not running free . Is it possible to get parts for this movement ?
regards to all - George

There are two similar watches in the above ads top one is the ALMA and the one in the bottom pic is the Priscilla. both look very similar to the above watch, except the Priscilla gives details of it being in both 10k white and yellow gold rolled plate, or is it a Genevieve ?
1934 ad from above comment (top)
1935 ad snippet from above (bottom)
1935 ad snippet for Genevieve
Based on jewel count and date of movement, I say Tentative Priscilla. The six digit case serial number begins with a 1.
Thanks for that Will the numbers are quite difficult to make out on the movement. Do you think it will be easy to get hold of a new balance for this one ?
George, agree with Priscilla ID. 4AE balance staff and mainspring is available on eB for a few dollars. Or try send PM to JP.
J.
I agree with a Priscilla ID on this one
I think Priscilla is a good match
The differences between the various "baguette" watches are indeed very minimal. But this is defenitively the Priscilla.
Thanks gentlemen. I have a few more ladies watches coming in the post l will upload them to the db once l receive them
Regards to all
