any chance of a photo of the inside case back (or text of hallmarks)? Was serial number on movement still seen in 1935? Other 4AE in movement database is also 1935.

Unknown 4 digit mvnt serial number ending in 71.  Triangle date code obvious.

I was thinking too that the engraving in the advert extends to the ends, but when looking at it again, it might not be showing engraving but shading...maybe.

Is the advert drawing just not representative of the real thing? Might the ends be plain after all?

I agree that this side engraving (two vertical lines left and right of the window) in the ad looks different from the subject watch. However, the one of the ad I have never seen while the one of the subject watch is the one used not only on this model but in ALL baguette watches from this period as also seen on the ad. My conclusion: the watch is the Columbia and somehow the person that made the illustration of the ad got it wrong or received a prototype but wrong sample.
