You can take a screen shot of the ad and attach it like you do your photos, no worries though. I think the Alden as is the closest match but that could just be the artist rendering isn't as good in the Trident ads. Also the Trident ads do not mention yellow gold that I could find but that doesn't mean it did not come in that color as well. Will do a little more looking. Alden ad 1935, Trident ad 1933. And the Chandler in 1936. It might just be a year thing making yours Trident.
Looking at a number of adverts bth here and else were I found the following:
- 1931: The $10,000 Contest watch
- 1932 - 1935: Trident (contest name winner)
- 1935: Alden
- 1937: Chancellor
Bases of tne 1933 case serial number, I'd agree that this watch is likely to be a Bulova Trident
NRA (National Recovery Act) not to be confused with a certain US Lobby group that also goes by the same initials was in effect for a very short period. It was enacted in mid 1933 and declared unconstitutional in mid 1935. Watch cases containing that sticker immediately narrow the production date of the watch id it's original to the case. This is very nice example of both watch and clam shell case Denis, well done.
1933 Bulova Trident
New confirmation advert for the Alden which is the 'yellow' version of this watch. The 'white' version is the Trident.
