Not sure if the date is 1933 or 1943
This will be a Trident model
Hello sdalling, welcome to myBulova. The "X" date code does designate a 1933 production for the movement. We also date pre 1949 cases by their serial number first digit. In the example you have here, the leading 3 also denotes a 1933 production date. If the two differ, we assume the newest year. Your watch appears to be in very nice condition. Here's a link to an original advert.

As noted by daca above, 1933 Bulova Trident
agree with 1933 Bulova Trident

Trident!
And the dial and movement look very pristine.
You will almost never see the movements from this time still mirror shiny on those plates.
Great condition!!
Thank you all for the great information. I know nothing about Bulova watches. They certainly are great watches. I obtained this one plus one other watch last year. I will post the other watch soon.

Aha, there's a second Bulova? Be aware of Bulovitis, the dreaded, incurable addiction to vintage Bulova timepieces, it is very contagious. My sympathy to your family.......

Yes, I am finding Bulovitis very contagious. My grandfather is to blame. My first one was his 1960 Bulova.
Ditto on the Trident ID
