I'd like to know if anyone has any idea of the model name for this watch. I found one 1929, in which the Josephine looked like the closest match, but again I'm unsure.
Dear Vsarkensteyn, your watch is the Debutante, first introduced with this case in 1927. It was a sports watch for woman, recognisable through the radium dial. Lovely watch. Enjoy!

Not unless you have a tendancy to lick your watch dials :-)
It should be safe to wear as is.
