Do we have any ads that show this engraving as a President? All ads seem to have no rosette in the center of the engraving. But we have this new add from 1931 the just posted in the forum showing this exact same watch called the "Barksdale". Could we have this one wrong? I could not find any other ads with the name Barksdale.

No, I do not think the ID of the subject is wrong (check the Jewel count)
The Case for the 'PRESIDENT' appears to change in 1930
The 'BARKSDALE' case I think I have, it has a hinged setback design, the movement sits in the caseback itself and not in a separate movement holder.
Nothing on the inside of the back but the outer is stamped Bulova with the shield and the seriel number begins with a 1.
The ad ID for the 1931 'BARKSDALE' is correct, imo.

* as an added, the Case takes the same crystal as Jerins' 'PRESIDENT' and there is a capital 'F' stamped between the lugs, Fahy's watch case?
