Based on all we know about this model which probably isn't a lot 'Athlete' it is for me too.

I can't find an ad for Athlete in the main ad database. I checked years 1927 through 1932. I have not checked the forum decades thread for the 1920's to see if there's an ad in there.  Jabs, I don't see a date on the ad you used in root record, and I think its an snippet from "The complete price guide to watches", which has been known to be incorrect at times, and done long after the fact.



Four of the five Athletes in the watch database are currently dated 1928. One is 1929.
