Looks like a 1927 Bulova 'Norman'. The case is in excellent shape with what looks like the original crown & 'cathedral' hands. The crystal is discoloured & needs to be replaced. The dial needs a good cleaning. The watch winds, sets & runs. The ads indicate that the 'Norman' has a 15 Jewel movement; could this 17 jewel movement be a replacement or was it offered by the factory?
Dear Silvercloud, your watch is the Norman. The movement is 15 jewels since the Center pinion doesn’t have a ruby. The case serial number is 969 7085. Can you change that? Thanks! In combination with the American Standard signature places it in 1927.
And if I read correctly, the movement is the 9AN, not 9AT.
You are correct sir! Sorry I mixed up one of my other watches.
It is a 15 jewel 9AN movement but the case # is likely 9637085 although some of the numbers are very hard to discern.
