BULOVA 1928 NO. 5969
This is a Bulova Ladies watch in 18K solid White Gold case with Platinum top set with eight (8) Diamonds and six (6) Sapphires. Sapphire crown.
The case is stamped 18K, BRUNER
This watch is supposed to have a 17Jewel movement, and the dial isn't the same as the Bulova advertisement.
1928 Bulova 5969 with noted dial replacement
Shows the history of the watch being the No. 5969 turning into the Gilda. (1924 ad)

Ok so we have a later 1928 replacement movement which explains the 1928 date in the watch entry. However we can say that the case dates to 1924. So I will update the record accordingly.
Any objections to renaming this gorgeous girl to Gilda, based on the cut over advert which shows the monumentous moment that Bulova started giving watches a name people could connect with, rather than just a boring model number.
Note that after nearly 40 years Bulova have started to give some of their new watches a name again.....thanks myBulova!!!!!
:-)
Excellent observation Stephen. I will agree
Based on case date, 1924 Gilda.
Noting movement swap
Gilda is fine with me.
Panel - we had an opportunity to update this record a couple years ago but did not. I still feel we should.
Agree 1924 Bulova Gilda
