When myBulova.com members meet.

Submitted by mybulova_admin on

I thought it about time we started a forum where we can post pictures of myBulova.com members meeting. A few years back I was delighted to hear that a couple of members met to share a beer and a yarn about their Bulova watch addiction, ah I mean collection. Prior to myBulova.com these members were total strangers and it's a wonderful feeling to know that this site has made some lasting friendships...no marriages yet (plenty of divorces maybe..joking) but it's only a matter of time before His Excellency meets and marrys Her Excellency.

Folks, please feel free to post your 'when myBulova members meet' photos here and share your tale.

I'll kick off with my very first hookup with long time myBulova member Mr Will Smith in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii in May 2014.

It was an absolute pleasure to finally meet Will after so many years of communicating via myBulova. Will was actually one of the sites very first members to join and he is a true gentlemen and it's a shame we didn't get to spend more time with him.

The Ollman family wil Will Smith in Hawaii

That's my beautiful wife Maria, daughter Lilyana and son Miguel. Oh yeah I'm the one on the left in case you were wondering :-)

Another absolute pleasure was meeting Mr Geoff Baker and his lovely wife. We had the pleasure of spending some time with the Bakers and I was privileged to have a personal viewing of Geoff amazing watch collection.

Stephen Ollman and Geoff Baker

....oh and yes you are seeing double!!

That ladies and gentlemen is a pair of Bulova Chronograph "C"s AND what is probably the only time two of these watches WITH their boxes has ever been photographed together, two 1927 Bulova Lone Eagles! I just happen to have mine with me :-)

Like Will, Geoff is one of a kind and we will be forever grateful to him for the help and guidance he provided us during our trip across America.

Thank you Mr Baker!

Bob we have a good number of members in England. Let's hope you too can hook up with a fellow Bulova addict.

Probably the finest collection of watches I've seen is back there Stephen. There's another whole rack of watches behind me. There's plenty of time at Bob's house ( plenty cold beer too!)

I wonder how many times Maria has heard this man say "Hang on honey, I'm almost done........"

And rare shot of Stephen not glued to myBulova. We really enjoyed meeting you and Maria and what I'm certain are the two cutest kids in the ACT! Thanks for stopping.

George, I am from Derbyshire, and D.H. Lawrence wrote about the area I live in his book The Rainbow. I can see the church he attended and the fields he played in from my window.

Where near Costa del Sol? Until recently I holidayed every year to that area, not far from Arroyo de la Miele and half a mile from Tivoli World, on the Avenida Benelmadena. A beautiful area, loved walking down the "Calle" to Costa del Sol from Benelmadena.

Bobee

I live near Antequera which is about 45 mins inland from Malaga but l know the benelmadena area ok. I have lived out in Spain for nearly 8 years now.  Until l sold my business a couple of years ago l used to travel back to Uk every 4 weeks to see my clients. I am a retired independent financial consultant. I was often in your area.

Kind regards

George

Had a chance Saturday morning, in Pt Colbourne, Ontario, Canada to worship at the altar of all things clock, watch and nostalgia related. Paid a visit  to the workbench of Reverend Rob Phillips (spoiler alert - there are more than Bulovas in his cases). Had a wonderful visit, very nice shoppe and a cute little village on the shores of the world famous Welland Canal.

Thanks for a warm welcome Rob, look forward to seeing you in Florida next time!

PS - Rob is the the fellow with the loupe

I'm up to meet any Bulova enthusiast in my area. I'm in Goose Creek, just outside of Charleston SC, USA.

Anyone visiting the Gulf Coast of Florida is cordially invited to peer into my watch safe. Not many Bulova left but I have an amazing bourbon collection I don't mind sharing........

Had an opportunity to kneel before the workbench of one of my all time favorite watchmakers this past weekend. A wonderful fellow with an amazing ability to make almost anything tick. A very special friend to so many members of the myBulova family, in fact I saw at least three packages in his lineup of work from members of myBulova.

Ladies and Gentelmen - I present Mr. Michael Cousineau......

What a privilege to kneel before the altar of 'Watch Resurrection'.

I've always wondered if Michael also has a great collection or if he is far too busy working on other peoples Bulova treasures.

He has several collections, including some cool watches! Not all Bulova but some wonderful pieces nonetheless.

Mike has worked on many of mine and has always lent an ear to my watch repair questions.
