That is certainly an option. In fact, I prefer it! But I can't find a repairer who can do that for me. For example, applying material to repair the thread or machining a larger thread for a slightly larger ring. Something else is possible too. It seems impossible to do something like that. The problem, of course, is that the cover has to be removed periodically to replace the battery.

I think the chances of finding a replacement case are practically nil.

To date, finding a repair method has also proven impossible. Therefore, we have expanded our search area to another case. There are sometimes offers of defective watches being sold for parts. The case would then remain. So, not impossible, I would say.
