The Watertite 'E' and American Clipper had almost identical dials, with the applied numerals and the long trilons with the lume dots, and the same hands. The Watertite in the ad above has a stainless steel case with a more curved flowing lug design. The American Clipper used a RGP case w/ SS Back that matches the subject watch. Here is a comparison of the two cases:
I would say that the subject watch is a 1957 American Clipper with a non-original dial color.
